Creator of initiatives in the field of humanitarian development and community health
Dr. Serigne Magueye Gueye has been active in the field of community health and community service through various initiatives. He has built and made available his own community health center in Yeumbeul, called the Aristide Mensah Health Center, in the suburbs of Dakar. This non-profit initiative aims to contribute to the health of the disadvantaged populations in the region.
Dr. Serigne Magueye Gueye has also worked as a trainer in surgery for Neglected Tropical Diseases (NTDs) and has evaluated the filariasis surgery program in several African countries, including Senegal, Togo, Gambia, Guinea-Bissau, Burkina Faso, and Tanzania.
In addition, Dr. Serigne Magueye Gueye has trained health professionals in repair surgery and has worked as an expert in the implementation and evaluation of obstetric fistula programmes in a number of countries including Senegal, Benin, Mauritania, Gabon, Chad, Guinea-Bissau, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Burundi, Madagascar, Rwanda, Mozambique, Eritrea, Gambia and Pakistan.
